Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and general maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC and life safety systems. You will help monitor environmental controls and support facility operations, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

This role requires a certificate in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or Building Systems Technician and at least 2 years of related experience, plus strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or Building Systems Technician with 2+ years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of environmental, mechanical, electrical, life safety, and DDC systems.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive and general maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems.
• Monitor environmental and building protection systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Support heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical distribution, lighting and water treatment.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to tenant needs in a professional manner.
• Identify and address operational issues to support facility performance and reliability.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
