The Redevelopment and Facilities Planning portfolios handle major development, renovations, and infrastructure projects to ensure smooth operations at CAMH. We seek a full-time, permanent Facilities Planner reporting to the Senior Manager, Facilities Planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all phases of space renovation and infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effective and timely execution.
  • Validate functional and space requirements, assess options, and lead design development, cost estimation, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Manage project team members, including hospital user groups, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and resolve issues proactively to minimize risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, fostering a diverse and collaborative workplace.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in architecture, engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in space planning, renovation, and infrastructure projects in a hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and project management tools like AutoCAD and MS Project.
  • Experience in contract administration, construction management, and stakeholder communication.
Additional Skills
  • Ability to interpret construction documents and knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
