Job summary

Colliers is seeking a Building Operator to oversee daily building operations across our portfolio in Canada, including Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. You will manage HVAC systems, water treatment and other mechanical/electrical systems while maintaining high tenant service levels.

You will respond promptly to requests, participate in special initiatives, and support emergency response across locations. A rotating on-call schedule and physical lift requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience in a commercial real estate environment.
• 5th or 4th Class Power Engineering Certification BES I & II or equivalent.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain building automation and HVAC systems.
• Start, shut down, and regulate mechanical and electrical systems.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot to ensure operations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Address tenant service requests and emergencies promptly.
• Coordinate with external contractors for maintenance work.
