Job summary

Give & Go Prepared Foods Corp. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to oversee operation, maintenance and repair of Canadian facilities and grounds, providing technical support to Operations, HSE, QA and Engineering teams.

The role is based in the GTA with a day shift (7AM-3PM) and requires coordinating with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable facilities, GMP compliance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Maintenance Manager in developing building systems maintenance policies, practices, and procedures; assign, prioritize and supervise work duties to meet schedules
• Identify and address deferred maintenance and renewal of building systems at Give & Go sites
• Organize and conduct training for Maintenance on operation and maintenance of facilities systems
• Develop and present proposals to improve reliability and cost savings
• Safely operate facilities systems to provide specified and reliable environmental conditions and utilities to production, packaging, warehouse, laboratory, and office areas
• Troubleshoot, coordinate services to repair, maintain, calibrate, alter/modify and install systems in collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, Engineering, contractors and owners
• Obtain quotes from vendors and secure PO approvals; compile and maintain documentation for completed work
• Audit operational effectiveness and preventive maintenance programs; participate in health and safety and sustainability initiatives
• Support capital initiatives and work with cross-functional teams to ensure GMP compliance and safety standards
• Perform other duties within the Engineering department as required
• Follow health and safety programs and wear required PPE; report hazards or unsafe conditions
• Ensure food safety and SQF program adherence across facilities
• Provide data analysis on building systems and respond to internal and external information requests
• Assist on service contracts and external providers; maintain records and performance metrics
