Job summary

BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. (BWXT NEC) is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support building infrastructure, asset management, and maintenance across Peterborough and other BWXT NEC sites.

Based onsite in Peterborough, you will assist with scheduling, contractor coordination, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, reliable operations while helping with budgeting and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in facilities, maintenance, or related technical field.
• Post-secondary education or technical training in facility management would be an asset.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems is beneficial.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Supervisor with planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance and repair activities.
• Coordinate building projects, scheduling, and on-site coordination.
• Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; escalate issues as needed.
• Support preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure readiness.
• Help manage contractor onboarding, compliance checks, and work verification.
• Provide budgetary support and process purchase requisitions.
