Job summary

Fitzrovia Property Management is seeking an experienced facilities manager to oversee operations of its Toronto properties. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, read blueprints, and coordinate maintenance across building systems to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role requires 2–3 years of facilities experience, strong contract oversight, and the ability to engage with tenants and vendors. On-site work is required with health and financial benefits and a permanent, full-time arrangement.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in facilities management.
• Education: College/CEGEP.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate construction projects for commercial, transportation or recreational facilities and real estate.
• Oversee the operations of facilities and the included real estate.
• Identify customers’ needs.
• Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility.
• Plan and organize the operations of the facilities and the included real estate.
• Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements.
• Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service.
• Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services.
• Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
• Direct the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff.
• Oversee the leasing of space in the facility and the included real estate and the development of marketing strategies.
• Plan and manage the facility’s operations budget.
• Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal.
• Resolve product and service related problems; troubleshoot equipment.
