Job summary

METRO in Ontario is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across assigned stores. You will lead the team to ensure all work meets standards and is completed efficiently.

The role requires a college diploma in building systems or electro-mechanical studies and 3–5 years of building maintenance experience. You’ll supervise staff, review quotations, manage budgets, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in building maintenance.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel).
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventative and corrective maintenance for stores and properties.
• Coordinate maintenance of equipment and services (janitorial, waste, snow, landscaping).
• Review audits and determine corrective actions.
• Evaluate quotations and negotiate prices when needed.
• Prepare work requisitions and manage approvals.
• Manage expenses and ensure budget adherence.
• Respond to after-hours calls and emergencies.
• Source new contractors.
