Role Overview

Our Upstream Department in Calgary, AB, invites engineering students to join us as Facilities Engineering Students at our Cold Lake asset, managing over 5,000 wells across multiple plants.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and consult on facility design and operational issues, collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.
  • Prepare engineering designs adhering to industry codes and company standards for facility upgrades and replacements.
  • Conduct enhancement studies in plant and field settings.
  • Provide engineering guidance for facility upgrades, working directly with operations and maintenance teams.
  • Receive mentorship from professional engineers.
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a Canadian-accredited (or equivalent) engineering program, progressing towards a degree.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Facilities Engineering training or experience is an asset.
  • Focus on mechanical or chemical engineering studies is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Start Date: September 2025
Work Term: 12 or 16 months
Location: Calgary, AB
