What role will you play in our team

Are you an Engineering student interested in Facilities Engineering and motivated to join Imperial? If you are passionate about safety, building positive relationships, and working within a collaborative team environment, then we have the role for you! We currently have an opportunity within our Cold Lake asset in the Upstream division. You will get to use your technical skills to help manage our 5000+ wells at 5 different plants which produce over 150kbd of oil.

What you will do
  • Troubleshooting and consulting on facility design and operating problems, working directly with operations and maintenance personnel
  • Prepare engineering designs using industry code and company standards for facility upgrades and replacement in kinds of piping, pumps, and all other process equipment.
  • Perform studies on enhancement opportunities in both plant and field settings,
  • Work directly with operations and maintenance, providing engineering guidance on execution of facility upgrades.
  • Direct mentorship under professional engineers
About you

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Progressing towards a Canadian accredited (or equivalent) engineering degree
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Able to work individually, as well as in a team situation, with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Facilities Engineering training and experience are an asset in this role
  • Engineering studies focused on mechanical or chemical engineering are preferred
  • Communication, collaboration, and optimization are valued

Work term:12, 16 months
