Job summary

King’s University College in London, Ontario is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with an electrical background to join the Facilities team. You will maintain HVAC, boilers, chillers, plumbing and electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance and annual shutdowns, respond to after-hours emergencies and manage contractor work as needed.

A Journeyman Electrician (309A) with at least two years of related experience, and flexibility to work overtime, is required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician with 309A license required.
• Minimum 2 years experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems.
• Must have working at heights certification and be able to respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, softeners, heaters, etc.
• Perform electrical work including maintenance, repairs and installations.
• Perform annual shutdown maintenance and preventative maintenance on building equipment.
• Complete maintenance work orders and repairs as assigned.
• Obtain cost estimates, oversee and work with contractors.
• Ensure safe operation of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance issues.
• Overtime may be required.
• Interact positively with others and work in a team or independently.
