Job summary

BGIS is seeking an Area Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at Montreal-area facilities. You will plan, supervise and improve janitorial services, ensuring client standards are met while optimizing materials, equipment and staff.

You will lead a team of cleaners, recruit talent, conduct training, manage performance, and coordinate with the Property Manager to maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing, communicating and motivating workforce teams.
• Good communication skills in a supervisory context.
• Ability to organize and manage work programs.
• 1-3 years or more of cleaning supervisory experience.
• Flexible and willing to work overtime, nights and weekends on a rotation basis.
• Willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
• Problem solving through applying established procedures.
• High school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Site Cleaners and supervise delivery of janitorial services per client MSA and BGIS processes.
• Recruit talent, mentor staff, and manage performance.
• Ensure resources are available to meet contract expectations.
• Inspect work, review improvements with the team, and discuss quality.
• Coordinate with Property Manager on projects and work orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe and pleasant facility environment.
