Facilities Assessment Consultant (P.Eng.) - Mechanical/Electrical

Join our team at Gordian as a Facilities Assessment Consultant (P.Eng.) - Mechanical/Electrical.

Gordian, an international leader in facility and construction cost data, software, and services, is seeking motivated professionals to conduct facility assessments in the mechanical discipline.

Responsibilities
  • Review client documentation and perform visual inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and controls.
  • Collaborate with client facilities management to gather operational insights.
  • Use mobile technology to document findings and develop cost estimates for repairs or replacements.
  • Document findings in asset management software and ensure quality assurance.
  • Support client inquiries with clarifications and guidance.
Qualifications
  • P.Eng. is required; CET, EIT, or similar are not acceptable.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and cost estimation using RS Means or similar data.
  • Ability to conduct lifecycle analysis and evaluate facility conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile devices.
Additional Information

This role requires 40-50% travel nationally and occasionally internationally, up to 2 weeks at a time. The position offers a full-time schedule, benefits, and the opportunity to work on diverse projects across various facilities.
