Job summary

Apex Industries is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Fabrication Supervisor and focuses on fitting and welding a variety of materials used in our projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of fabrication experience and can read blueprints and interpret weld symbols. CWB tickets are a plus, and familiarity with rigging, crane operation, and forklift safety is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of fabrication experience; CWB welding tickets considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to work independently and in a team.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to plan, layout, fit, assemble and weld stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
• Interpret weld symbols and drawing notes to ensure components meet specs and tolerances.
• Verify materials and finished products meet applicable standards and quality requirements.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following company procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in reading blueprints and interpreting weld symbols.

• Read and interpret blueprints to plan, layout, fit, assemble, and weld stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
• Interpret weld symbols and drawing notes to ensure all components are fabricated to specifications and tolerances.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company safety procedures and proper equipment handling.
