Job summary

Smith Steel & Fabrication, a division of Tri-Mach Group of Companies Inc., designs and fabricates bespoke bulk storage solutions. We seek a skilled Fabricator to read schematics and blueprints and fabricate metal parts per customer specifications in a safety‑minded, detail‑oriented team environment.

You will operate brake, shear, saw and iron worker equipment; weld to CWB standards; read drawings; and contribute to quality control and shop maintenance.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School or equivalent.
• MIG welding experience; CWB tickets considered a strong asset.
• 8-10 years of fabrication experience.
• Able to read blueprints/drawing/sketches.
• Knowledge of GMP guidelines and practices.

• Polishing/finishing welds
• Assist with various shop projects, including shop maintenance
• Fabrication of various jobs/projects
• Able to read blueprints/drawing/sketches
• Conduct quality control checks
• Work closely with designers & engineers & product development
• Accurate and timely completion of all daily paperwork
• Completion of High School or equivalent
• Metal Fabricator/Fitter 437A or equivalent
• Previous 8-10 years of fabrication experience
• MIG welding experience. CWB tickets considered a strong asset
• You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
• You operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
• You have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
• You are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately

As a division of Tri-Mach Group of Companies Inc., our business units work alongside one another to provide a single source for customers to elevate their operations - fulfilling their fabrication, millwrighting, electrical, process piping and automation needs.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The Fabricator is responsible for reading & understanding schematics and blueprints and fabricating metal parts and structures per the customer request. We are looking to add someone to our team who is eager to learn, detail-orientated and a team player. Our Fabricators promotes a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

Hourly Wage For The Role: $24.00 - $27.00
