DFI Piling group is seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder to join our Edmonton operations. You will fabricate and maintain cranes, piling and industrial equipment, and our ERW pipe mill, reading drawings and using bandsaws, cranes, forklifts, and cutting tools.

A strong emphasis on safety and collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams is required. Journeyman welder certification or a third-year apprenticeship is preferred, with experience in high-tensile steel advantageous.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Welder certification or equivalent required.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication and various weld processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential.

Responsabilités

• Fabricate and maintain piling and industrial equipment including DFI's ERW pipe mill.
• Read and interpret drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Operate shop equipment such as bandsaws, overhead cranes, forklifts, hydraulic presses, oxyfuel and plasma cutting tools, and drill presses.
• Work closely with mechanical engineering, machining, and fleet service divisions.
• Operate safely, in compliance with the DFI HSE program.
• Oversee third party fabrication and repairs as required.
