DFI Steel Piling is seeking a Coil Yard Attendant in Edmonton to remove steel coils from railcars and coil trucks using an overhead crane, while performing quality inspections and adding coils to inventory. The role involves forklift assistance, sorting coils by width and gauge, and supporting mill operations.

Applicants should have a Class 1 Driver's Licence and overhead crane experience, with flexibility for overtime and the ability to work in a variable environment with temperature changes,

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 Driver's License.
• Experience operating overhead cranes is required.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing job duties and overtime as needed.
• Work in environments with temperature fluctuations, fumes, dust and noise.

Responsibilities

• Secure railcars and coil trucks for unloading.
• Inspect coils for quality and sort by widths and gauges.
• Unload coils using overhead crane and forklifts.
• Sort coil inventory and transport coils to mill as needed.
• Support coil mill operations and maintain safety standards.
