Rhyno Equity Group is hiring for a hands-on metal fabrication role in Edmonton. You will fabricate and weld aluminum components, operate shop equipment, and ensure high-quality results while handling materials up to 50 lbs. A strong safety mindset and ability to read measurements are essential.

Qualifications

• Background in metal fabrication, welding, or working with aluminum/steel.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in a fabrication shop preferred.
• Must be registered with AIT.
• Experience reading shop drawings or blueprints.
• Understanding of AutoCAD is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and welding metal components based on technical drawings.
• Working mainly with aluminum materials.
• Operating shop equipment such as welders, saws, shears, and bending machines.
• Checking finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Handling and moving materials (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg).

About the Role

In this position, you’ll be involved in the fabrication and welding of metal components, primarily aluminum. The role suits someone who is adaptable, comfortable working with various equipment, and takes pride in producing precise, high‑quality work.

This is an active job that involves moving materials and working across different areas of the shop, so a good level of physical fitness isimportant.

What You’ll Be Doing

Experience & Skills

• Background in metal fabrication, welding, or working with aluminum/steel
• Five (5) or more years of experience in a fabrication shop preferred

• Understanding of AutoCAD an asset, but not required
• Familiarity with fabrication equipment and bending machines
• Experience using hand tools like drills and grinders
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on different tasks as needed
