Fabrication Assistant

Location: 340 Huronia Road, Barrie, Ontario

Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, the Fabrication Assistant performs various duties within the fabrication plant, including auto welding, inspection, and supporting shipping and receiving activities.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Health and Safety awareness to minimize injury risks
  • Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with employees, suppliers, and customers
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks
Responsibilities
  1. Work in the auto-weld area, feeding material through roller bars, adjusting fittings, and setting heat and speed functions accurately.
  2. Transport rolls of fabric from the floor to the cutting table using appropriate lifting devices.
  3. Load and unload fabric on and off the cutting table, cut fabric as per specifications.
  4. Inspect filtration products against specifications, pack boxes, palletize, and prepare for shipping.
