Job summary

Gray Collection’s Cocotte Bistro in downtown Ottawa seeks a Food & Beverage Manager to ensure flawless service and high standards across front- and back-of-house operations. You will lead a high-performing team, manage logistics, inventory, and financials, and build strong relationships with supervisors and staff while maintaining an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a premium, fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Extensive knowledge in wines and beverages.
• Smart Serve Certification is required.
• Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to F&B service.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a culture of authentic hospitality to support business objectives and growth.
• Oversee logistics, including setup, staffing, and equipment, ensuring seamless event execution.
• Manage financial aspects such as inventory controls, period-end assistance, billing reconciliation, and cash deposits.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze performance, and recommend strategies for departmental growth.
• Handle recruitment, employee scheduling, training, integration, performance feedback, and employee relations.
• Address service-related issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Provide ongoing support to the Food & Beverage Supervisor and service team, actively participating in service.
• Lead by example, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
• Offer feedback and guidance to ensure growth opportunities for team members.
• Support the F&B Director in achieving departmental KPIs.
