Job summary

The Armour Group Limited in Halifax is seeking a Food and Beverage Building Technician to ensure HVAC systems and kitchen equipment operate smoothly across multiple sites in HRM, including downtown Halifax, Bedford, and Dartmouth. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-5 years of HVAC experience, ideally in food service or kitchen equipment settings.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen equipment maintenance, including HVAC systems and related technologies.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach with team members and clients.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and operational needs.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Experience managing contractors and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Food and Beverage Building Technician to join our growing team in Halifax. This role is essential to the day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple food and beverage establishments across the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), including locations in downtown Halifax, Bedford, and Dartmouth. You will be responsible for ensuring that HVAC systems and kitchen equipment are operating smoothly across multiple sites. The role requires flexibility, with occasional evening and weekend availability.

What you will be doing:
  • Assisting in the general operations and maintenance of HVAC and kitchen equipment systems in various food and beverage establishments.
  • Responding to internal client requests and providing timely support to ensure minimal downtime of equipment.
  • Participating in and executing preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and avoiding operational disruptions.
