Job summary

Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. in Stratford, Ontario, is seeking a full-time Production Operator to set up and run CNC or manual machining processes, ensuring on-spec output and safe, efficient operation.

You will troubleshoot issues, inspect your work with precision measuring tools, document data, and assist in training new operators as part of a team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 diploma.
• Equivalent machining background or mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production processes with CNC or manual equipment.
• Troubleshoot production issues to meet standards.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process/machine.
• Routinely check process/machine for basic maintenance and take correction action.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment.
• Perform problem solving and trouble shoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
• Responsible for qualityand quantity of work produced by process/machine.
• Routinely check process/machine for basic maintenance and take correction action in a timely matter.
• Required to perform inspection of own work usingprecision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work.
• Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
• Required to train other operators as needed.
• May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a machine for others to operate.
• Ability to read and interpret production prints.
• Position requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required duties.
• Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
