Job Description: Sales Support Specialist at Behst Machinery Corp.
We are seeking a Sales Support Specialist to join our team at Behst Machinery Corp., ideally located in the greater Calgary area. This role involves working from home and attending weekly in-person meetings with clients. Please note, we are not able to sponsor foreign applicants to move to Canada at this time.
What you'll be doing:
As an External Sales & Support person, you will collaborate with vendors to create and procure custom machinery for processing facilities. Your responsibilities include supporting internal teams and external clients, reviewing technical documents and sales quotes for accuracy, and playing a key role in our sales processes. Success in this role will be demonstrated by:
- Building strong customer relationships by presenting products, predicting needs, and devising strategies to meet those needs.
- Generating leads, developing new client partnerships, and identifying business opportunities.
- Handling client objections effectively and working towards positive outcomes.
- Enhancing customer relationships through liaising with industry experts, both pre- and post-sale.
- Providing post-sales support and ensuring accurate data entry and management within our sales system.
- Tracking activities, closing deals, and achieving sales targets.
- Maintaining organized records of mileage, expenses, and client interactions.
- Setting and pursuing sales targets, and supporting organizational strategies.
- Attending industry events and providing insights on emerging trends.
- Participating in supplier training, both online and in person, domestically and internationally.
- Identifying opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to boost sales.
- Serving as a central contact point for clients and staff, managing organizational contacts and schedules.
- Communicating professionally and maintaining confidentiality in all dealings.
- Supporting owners and sales staff with various tasks.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand technical data.
- Mechanical inclination and ability to interpret engineered drawings.
- Exceptional communication skills and professional etiquette.
- Passion for collaboration and ability to work independently.
- Strong math, negotiation, and organizational skills, with experience in time management tools.
- Proficiency with Google and Microsoft software, with a willingness to learn new systems.
- Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking.
- Interest or experience in the agricultural or industrial sectors.

- Competitive salary ($50,000-$75,000) plus incentive pay ($22,000-$82,000+).

Additional information:
- Peak seasons: Mid October to December, and mid January to end of March.
