Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking an External Audit Manager to lead client-facing audit teams and deliver high-quality assurance services across a diverse client base, including entities with international reach.

You will demonstrate progressive management experience, coach engagement teams, and ensure compliance with Canadian auditing standards (IFRS/ASPE) and related guidance. English and French fluency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Progressive management experience at the Manager level in external audit.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian auditing standards and applicable reporting.
• Ability to coach and direct engagement teams and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Take a professional role leading client-facing audit teams.
• Examine financial and accounting records and observe processes.
• Ask questions to senior client personnel to gather information.
• Handle conflict resolution and manage expectations of stakeholders.
• Perform design effectiveness walkthroughs and test internal controls.
• Verify and test financial statements and disclosures.
• Coach staff and contribute to a high performing PwC team.
• Prepare and deliver competitive audit proposals.
