Crédit Agricole CIB in Montreal, Canada is seeking a back-office settlements specialist with 3+ years in trade support. You will handle settlements for equities and fixed income, lending/borrowing, and invoicing with multi‑currency flows. The role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication, and bilingual capabilities.

Hybrid work arrangement in Montreal. Bachelor degree or equivalent required; knowledge of Calypso/Phase3 a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Manage pending transactions for DTC/FED and BNY settlements in primary/secondary markets.
• Monitor settlement-delivery of operations for equities and CB issuance settlements.
• Oversee Equities Lending/Borrowing and collateral management.
• Process triparty funding and daily operation settlements.
• Generate invoices and reconcile discrepancies in the invoicing division.
• Coordinate with front/middle offices and custodians during settlement issues.

Descripción del empleo

Manage any pending transactions for DTC/FED and BNY settlements regarding primary and secondary markets.

This includes government issues, repo settlements and resets, corporate bonds, triparty activity, and asset backed securities.

Follow up on CAD/MXN trade issues with agent banks; limited trade processing as required.

Settlement of equities transactions, buy and sell, repo and securities lending/borrowing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Management of trading operations for Equities / Convertible Bonds / EIS Sales scopes:

• Monitoring of settlement-delivery of operations for equities
• Management of settlement-delivery on physical OSTs
• Monitoring of CB issuance settlements

Equities Lending/Borrowing:

• Verification of proper transaction integration in the settlement-delivery chain
• Verification of proper receipt of settlement instructions by custodians
• Monitoring of proper operation settlements
• Real-time monitoring of global positions
• Escalation of failed transactions to FO
• Management of issues with IT support
• Management of accounting suspense items

Securities Lending/Borrowing Collateral:

• Management of triparty long box funding
• Monitoring of proper daily operation settlements for the implementation of cash and securities collateral
• Monitoring of payment defaults/cash receipt in relation to treasury and accounting

Lending/Borrowing Invoicing Division:

• Monthly generation and sending of invoices
• Reconciliation of received invoices
• Analysis and investigation of identified discrepancies
• Correction of discrepancies and payment processing
• Monitoring of payment defaults and accounting suspense items
• Research for optimization of invoicing processes

Supplementary Information

(EBO) Extended Back-Office:

• All related operational management, including billing processing.
• BNY Custody account settlements/monitoring and related reconciliations.
• Soc Gen Futures processing – daily margin calls and program monitoring/reconciliation review.
• Manage settlement issues on behalf of Paris book during NY business hours.
• Liaise with NY Front Office/Middle Office and the custodian as required.
• Liaise with counterparties as needed in coordination with Bondsettlement team in Paris and CAS BO.
• Monitor and investigate breaks on real-time daily position report reconciliation (Calypso against P3).
• Maintain referential data, including creation and modification of SDI records on Calypso and accounts on Phase3
• Validate CA positions on new Treasury auctions with MO for regulatory reporting.
• Review trades with Japanese clients to ensure integrity of data flowing from Calypso to Phase 3.
• Investigate and liaise with clients and MO regarding EOD client fails and DKs, until resolution.
• Review of processing queues and alerts from systems (EAI, EFIRA, Murex, APEX, OT) to ensure smooth trade workflow.
• End of business day Calypso queue verification to ensure all trades and issues have been addressed for same day value.
• Provide Paris BO with daily end of day IM reports.
• Update of 15A6 trade accounts on Calypso to correct internal reconciliation break
