Job summary

Barrick Mining Corporation invites a seasoned Exploration Project Geologist to join its Canadian Exploration team in Ontario. You will apply a strong foundation in hard-rock geology to target generation, data interpretation, and fieldwork planning, with ~50% field time and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates bring at least 4 years in mining exploration, knowledge of ore forming processes, and proficiency in Leapfrog, ArcGIS Pro, and Iogas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required.
• Member of a professional geoscience or engineering association in Canada.
• 4+ years of experience in mining/mineral exploration.
• Strong organization and attention to detail with ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of safety, health, environmental standards and communities.
• Competence in mineralogy, structural geology, with field experience.
• Bilingual English/French preferred.
• Driver’s license.
• Available for field work 50% of the time.
• Knowledge of Leapfrog, ArcGIS Pro, Iogas.
• Knowledge of greenstone hosted gold deposits.

Responsibilities

• Collection of geologic data, mapping, sampling, and core logging.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and data integrity across programs.
• Geologic data synthesis and interpretation to support targeting, including cross-sections and maps.
• Maintain 3D model and geospatial databases.
• Identify new exploration targets at project and district scale.
• Design and safely execute exploration programs.
• Deliver progress reports and technical presentations.
• Foster teamwork and stakeholder collaboration.
• Supervise multidisciplinary teams to execute exploration programs.
• Comply with Barrick policies and local regulations.
