Reporting to the Exploration Advisor, you will support the 3D modelling needs of the Hope Bay Exploration Team by interpreting geological data of the Hope Bay Greenstone belt. Your main task will be to build 3D models based on lithological, structural, and mineralization data.
As a key team member, you should demonstrate curiosity, autonomy, excellent organizational and communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to work in diverse geological environments. You must be capable of integrating various data sources to interpret and build models. You will serve as a reference for data availability and quality, geological understanding, and collaborate with departments, effectively communicating your observations and interpretations.
· Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering
· Minimum of 5 years of geology experience, including 2 years in modelling
· Membership in good standing with a professional association (Geologists or Engineers)
· Knowledge of Leapfrog Geo, Leapfrog Edge, Datamine Studio RM, and Snowden Supervisor is an asset
· Ability to work independently and in a team; meet deadlines and produce quality work
· Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, engaging diverse groups
· Experience in multicultural environments and in the Canadian Arctic is an asset
· Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
