Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking expert claims professionals, specializing in auto and homeowners insurance, to join our team. You will evaluate information, determine coverage, assess liability and work with clients, attorneys and insurers to settle complex claims with integrity and care.

This hybrid role comes with a competitive salary range of CAD 80,700 to CAD 98,700, a 10% target bonus, a defined benefit pension, ESPP, and broad wellness and telemedicine benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate information collected to determine coverage for each claim.
• Assess potential liability of the insured and third parties with experts.
• Negotiate settlements with clients, claimants, lawyers and insurers within your authority.
• Perform on-site tasks as needed to support internal adjusters.
• Contribute to claims management during high-volume periods.

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

• Évaluer la responsabilité civile potentielle de l’assuré et des tierces parties en consultant des experts.

• Négocier avec les clients, les requérants, les avocats et les assureurs pour régler des sinistres, dans les limites de votre autorité.

• Gérer des tâches sur le terrain au nom des experts en sinistres internes.

• Au besoin, participer activement à la gestion des sinistres et du travail lorsque le volume
