We are looking for an Experimental Physicist to join our team. With a strong science background and an interdisciplinary approach, you will support a range of research and development activities, including prototyping, product development, and product support.

We are looking for candidates that meet the following profile:

    • Due to security requirements, must be a Canadian or US citizen, or a permanent resident of Canada, and will be required to provide a criminal record check as a condition of employment.
    • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Nuclear, Particle, or Medical Physics, or closely‐related field, with a strong academic and/or professional record; a foundation in Engineering is an asset.
    • Experience in hands-on experimental work including set-up and troubleshooting of electronics and mechanical hardware.
    • Experience in developing and testing radiation detectors and associated instrumentation.
    • Experience with analysis of data from radiation‐detection systems, including programming using, e.g., MATLAB and/or C/C++.
    • Ability to generate clear and detailed technical documents, including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports/presentations.
    • Ability to interface technically with hardware, firmware, and software team members.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with customers and working within a multi-disciplinary team of scientific, engineering, manufacturing, and management personnel.
    • Must be creative, self‐motivated, organized, receptive to constructive feedback, and able to learn quickly on continuous basis.
    • Useful additional skills include: expertise in radiation dosimetry; experience with portable instrument design; experience with software and systems engineering; electronics and firmware development.
    • Candidate must be able to travel internationally and autonomously.
