Qualifications

What you will do

The position involves leading inspection, service, and repair work, assisting with installation projects of Fire Alarm Systems, and providing technical support with limited supervision. You will train and guide less experienced technicians and trainees, ensure timely completion of activities, and maintain communication with office staff regarding field or customer updates. You will service, inspect, and install products like Simplex and other multi-vendor systems, including complex systems such as custom voice messaging, smoke control, network audio switching, and TSW programming.

How you will do it
  • Documented experience in low voltage electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals
  • Experience preparing high-quality inspection and verification reports
  • Proficiency with hand tools and multi-meters
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and repair abilities
What we look for

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Life Safety Systems
  • CFAA Certification
  • Technical training or certification such as Electronics Technologist training or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting systems
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to work in challenging positions and environments, including heights and confined spaces
  • Flexibility to work weekends, participate in rotating “On-Call” schedules, and travel as required
  • High level of customer service, teamwork, self-motivation, and safety adherence
  • Strong organizational skills and quick learning ability
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses according to codes
