Job summary

The 401 Group is hiring an Automotive Detailer in Barrie, Ontario. This hands-on role focuses on making vehicles showroom-ready inside and out, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous detailing experience required.
• Experience with protection products, cut/buff/paint correction, or accessory installation is a plus.
• Valid G Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean vehicle exteriors by hand, brush or washing equipment.
• Polish, dry and clean windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body.
• Vacuum, shampoo and clean vehicle interior.
• Clean and protect interiors and exteriors and engine compartments.
• Perform basic maintenance checks under the hood and around the vehicle.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and end-of-day cleanup.
• Support team and follow daily production schedule.

Hours: Monday – Friday | 8am-5pm

Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience

What You Will Be Doing:

• Clean vehicle exteriors by hand, brush or washing equipment
• Polish, dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body
• Vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interior
• Clean, protect, and preserve vehicle interiors (i.e., carpet and upholstery, dash and console, door panels, mirrors, glove compartment) and exteriors (i.e., wheels/tires/wheel wells, lower body panels, front grill/bumper), as well as cleaning engine compartments

• Determine need for and addas necessarywindshield fluid, gas, oil, water and antifreeze
• Perform basic maintenance checks: antenna, under the hood, inside the vehicle, inside the trunk, and outside vehicle
• Maintain a clean and orderlyworkarea throughout the workday, ensuring a final clean up at the end of the day
• Powerwashthe floor, (to reduce the appearance of dirt) as required
• May be responsible for maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies

• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned by Supervisor
• Work in accordance with daily production schedule
• Support all team members when required

What You Bring to the Table:

• Previous detailing experience
• Experience with protection products, cut/buff/paint correction, accessory installation would be definite assets contributing to a higher compensation
• Valid G Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission
• Effective organization and multi-tasking skills with precise attention to detail
