Job summary

The 401 Group is seeking a reliable Lot Attendant in Barrie to keep the lot organized, move vehicles with precision, and support a fast-paced dealership team.

You will wash and prep vehicles, verify deliveries, assign stock numbers, park vehicles safely, and assist with errands. Winter snow removal may be required; outdoor work is routine. Must have a G Driver’s License and a clean driving abstract.

Qualifications

• Valid G Driver’s License.
• Clean driving record required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to drive manual transmission considered an asset.
• Comfort working outdoors, including winter snow removal.
• Attention to safety and detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean vehicle exteriors by hand, brush or washing equipment.
• Polish, dry and clean windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and end-of-day cleanup.
• Verify receipt of cars and park them safely.
• Compare serial numbers against invoices and inspect for damages.
• Record damages and missing items on delivery receipts.
• Assign stock control numbers and store keys.
• Re-park cars to maximize space and maintain order.
• Run dealership errands and assist with parts or customers as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Winter snow removal and seasonal outdoor duties.

We’re looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Lot Attendant to join our dealership team! In this high-paced, hands-on role, you’ll be the driving force behind our vehicle organization, presentation, and flow—helping keep our lot looking sharp and our operations running smoothly.

Wage: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

What You Will Be Doing:

• Clean vehicle exteriors by hand, brush or washing equipment
• Polish, dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body
• Maintain a clean and orderlyworkarea throughout the workday, ensuring a final clean up at the end of the day

• Verify receipt of cars delivered to dealer and parks cars in the lot in a safe and orderly manner
• Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice
• Inspect cars to detect damage and to verify presence of accessories listed on invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment
• Record description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt

• Assign stock control numbers to cars, and catalogs and stores keys
• Re-park cars, following sales, to maximize the use of space and maintain lot in order
• Run errands for the dealership, ie: pick up parts or customers, etc.
• Clean vehicle exteriors by hand, brush or washing equipment and vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interior
• Polish, dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body
• Clean, protect, and preserve vehicle interiors (i.e., carpet and upholstery, dash and console, door panels, mirrors, glove compartment) and exteriors (i.e., wheels/tires/wheel wells, lower body panels, front grill/bumper), as well as cleaning engine compartments
• Perform basic maintenance checks: antenna, under the hood, inside the vehicle, inside the trunk, and outside vehicle
• Transfer vehicles from dealership to other dealerships in our Group
• During winter months, manual snow removal will be required
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor

What You Bring to the Table:

• Valid G Driver’s License
• Clean Drivers Abstract
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to drive manual considered an asset
• Must be comfortable working outdoors
• Experience with snow removal
