Manulife in Toronto, Ontario, invites applications for AVP, GWAM Expenses. The role partners with CFO and senior leaders to deliver a consolidated view of expense performance and drive transparency, efficiency, and productivity across GWAM.

The incumbent leads planning, forecasting, reporting, controls, and governance for expenses, and steers transformation initiatives using automation and AI while developing a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field; CPA qualifications strongly preferred.
• 10–15 years of finance experience including FP&A, expense management, or financial reporting.
• Experience leading cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business units and regions.
• Minimum 5+ years in FP&A partnership with ownership of planning/forecasting cycles, performance analytics, and senior stakeholder management.
• Strong technical skills in data/process controls and financial systems in regulated environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead the overall expense management framework for GWAM, including segment and function expenses.
• Oversee annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and outlook processes for GWAM expenses.
• Provide strategic advice and actionable insights to senior leadership on expense performance, risks, opportunities, and investment decisions.
• Establish and maintain performance measures and reporting to support business decision-making and accountability.
• Oversee governance and analysis of direct expenses, allocated costs, and shared service charges.
• Apply a transformational mindset to drive automation and AI-enabled improvements in expense processes.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals.
