We are currently seeking an Expediting Specialist to join our Procurement to join our project team executing a Potash mining project Saskatchewan. As a Document Controller working in an Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT) within the Owner’s team, you will ensure thatsupport a major capital project within an EPCM environment. The Expediting Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of project materials and equipment in accordance with project schedules. Duties & Responsibilities
- Expedite all project materials and equipment in accordance with the expediting plan, purchase order, and project schedule.
- Monitor supplier, engineering, and manufacturing schedules to ensure timelines are maintained and proactively manage potential delays.
- Coordinate and communicate with suppliers and internal disciplines to maintain project schedules.
- Interface with clients and project members regarding expediting issues and provide proactive corrective measures.
- Ensure submission and approval of all relevant documentation as per the purchase order.
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality Surveillance to ensure timely inspections and efficient handling of Non-Conformity Reports.
- Manage packing lists and delivery documentation, including export / import requirements.
- Collaborate with Logistics to facilitate delivery per Incoterms specified in the purchase order.
- Work with Materials Management to plan for receipt of equipment and materials.
- Resolve any Underage, Overage, Shortage, or Damages (UOS&D) at the time of receipt.
- Ensure issuance of Material Receiving Reports (MRR) for received items.
- Attest supplier invoices and monitor milestone payment schedules.
- Close out purchase orders upon completion.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of progressive experience in EPC, specifically in Expediting.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of international procurement practices.
- Background knowledge in other procurement disciplines such as Purchasing, Contracts, Supplier Quality Surveillance, Logistics, Field Experience, and Materials Management.
- Strong planning and interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and emotional intelligence.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for interaction with clients, senior leaders, and team members.
- Team-centric approach with the ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
