Hiring Salary Range:$151,685 - $164,666 (FTE annual)
Reporting to the Dean of the School of Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD), the Executive Officer (EO) is the chief non-academic administrator for the School and provides strategic direction and operational oversight of non-academic services. Key areas of focus include financial management, planning and budgeting, human resources activities, academic resource planning, strategic planning, policy development, communications, facilities management and special projects. The EO plays a central role in strategic planning and operationalization, working closely with the Dean, Associate Deans, Chairs/Directors, and senior academic and administrative leaders to support the achievement of AMPD's vision, mission and strategic priorities. The role advises the Dean on policy and procedural matters, guides continuous improvement and change management initiatives, and champions a student- and client-centered culture of engagement, equity, diversity, inclusion, and high performance. The role represents the School on institution committees and with senior administrators across the University. The EO role is accountable to the Senior Executive Officer in the Provost & Vice-President Academic Office for compliance with Divisional administration matters focused on Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, and Facilities.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Finance, Business Administration/Commerce, Human Resource or Information Technology.
This position requires the candidate to produce a verification of degree(s), credentials(s), or equivalencies from accredited institutions and/or international equivalents at the time of interview.
York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.
