Job summary

Canadian Mental Health Association-SOS is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization in alignment with the Board's vision, building a strong culture, guiding strategy, and representing CMHA-SOS in the community.

The ED will oversee program delivery, governance, budgeting, fundraising, and compliance, while developing partnerships to improve mental health and substance use services within the region. This exempt role is 30 hours per week, based in Penticton.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, social sciences, business or equivalent.
• 5+ years progressive senior leadership in social services.
• Experience managing staff and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
• Proven track record in facilities maintenance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop a vision and strategic plan with the Board.
• Inform the Board of internal and external issues and recommend strategies.
• Advise the Board on organizational activities.
• Represent the organization as a spokesperson with the Chair.
• Oversee budgeting, funding and financial controls.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and policies.
