Job summary

The BCNU is seeking an Executive Director, Member Services who will provide strategic leadership and advance member services across labour relations, occupational health & safety, communications, and professional practice support.

Reporting to the CEO, the role leads negotiation efforts, guides directors and managers, and ensures resources are aligned with BCNU’s priorities while promoting equity, reconciliation, and a culture of continuous improvement for members nationwide.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in arts, law, industrial relations or nursing.
• Master’s degree in related discipline and/or law preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Extensive labour relations and leadership experience may be considered as an equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement member services strategies aligned with BCNU goals.
• Lead negotiations at NBA and other bargaining tables.
• Provide strategic leadership to staff and portfolio.
• Oversee budgeting and resource management for portfolio.
• Foster diversity, equity and reconciliation, and collaboration across BCNU.
