Job summary

UNITED WAY BC is seeking a Director, Union Participation and Resource Development to lead Labour-linked fundraising and engagement across British Columbia. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will develop and implement strategies that strengthen UWBC’s relationships with Labour partners while advancing revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience and/or education to a degree level in a related discipline.
• Training courses offered by the Labour movement are considered a strong asset.
• Progressive experience in fundraising, revenue development, workplace campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and partnerships.
• Strong understanding of organised Labour and UWBC’s community role.
• Experience developing and executing campaign plans, cultivation strategies, and signature events.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements annual fundraising plans for assigned union-linked accounts, programs, projects, events, and stakeholder groups.
• Sets financial and non-financial fundraising goals and develops campaign, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal strategies.
• Independently analyzes data and prepares plans for account growth, donor engagement, prospect development, and stewardship.
• Identifies opportunities to deepen union participation and grow revenue or engagement.
• Leads planning, coordination, execution, stewardship, evaluation, and follow-up for Labour-linked deliverables.
