Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. in Kitchener, Ontario, is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Long-Term Care residence, overseeing resident care, programs, services, and fiscal performance.

The role requires a post secondary health/social services diploma and LTC administration program experience, with a minimum of 3 years in management. The Executive Director will ensure a safe environment, coordinate admissions/discharges, and liaise with families and healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• Post secondary diploma in health or social services (minimum 2 years).
• Enrolled in or completed a Long-Term Care Residence Administration/Management program (minimum 100 hours).
• At least 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience in health or social services.
• Experience in LTC residence administration or management program with at least 100 hours of instruction was completed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operation of the Long-Term Care residence including resident care, programs, services, environmental coordination and fiscal performance.
• Develop and implement efficient admissions and discharges processes through liaison with residents, families, physicians, pharmacists, health care facilities, etc.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors through approved procedures and standards.
• Address resident or family concerns and escalate to the Director Regional Operations as required.
