Job summary

The Manitoba Government is seeking an Executive Director for the Manitoba Accessibility Office to lead program delivery under The Accessibility for Manitobans Act. Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, you will guide compliance, policies, and standards affecting ~42,000 organizations in public and private sectors.

You will manage the AMA framework, direct Grants with a $20 million endowment, oversee the Accessibility Compliance Secretariat, and build partnerships with internal and external

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in public administration, business administration, law, public policy or a related field; equivalent combination may be considered
  • Proven leadership and commitment to diverse environments
  • Ability to translate priorities into clear operational plans and performance metrics
  • Experience with human and financial resource management and enforcement/ grants is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and strategic advisory capabilities
  • Experience designing policies and procedures and advising senior leaders

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Manitoba Accessibility Office and manage program delivery under AMA
  • Provide leadership to interpret AMA and ensure compliance across ~42,000 organizations
  • Oversee the Accessibility Compliance Secretariat and grant-related activities
  • Support the Accessibility Advisory Council and set long-term accessibility priorities
