Job summary

Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada seeks an Executive Director to lead the national organization with a clear vision and purpose. You will guide strategy, oversee operations, and champion the voices and priorities of Inuit women across Canada and beyond.

Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada is the national voice of Inuit women. We advance the rights, well-being, and cultural integrity of Inuit women, girls and gender-diverse Inuit, and their families through advocacy, research, education, and partnerships.

Rooted in Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, we work to ensure that Inuit women's voices, knowledge, and priorities shape the policies, programs, and decisions that affect our lives.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an inspiring, strategic leader to serve as our next Executive Director.

The Executive Director provides overall leadership to advance Pauktuutit's vision, mission, and priorities on behalf of Inuit women, girls and gender-diverse Inuit in Canada. Working in partnership with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director leads the organization, oversees strategy and operations, strengthens relationships and champions the voices and priorities of Inuit women nationally and internationally.

This is an opportunity to lead a respected organization at a time of significant opportunity and responsibility, advancing meaningful change for Inuit women today and for future generations.

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Is a strategic thinker and proven leader who can guide a national organization with clarity and purpose.
  • Builds trusted relationships and partnerships across Inuit organizations, governments, funders, and communities.
  • Demonstrates strong governance, financial stewardship, and operational leadership.
  • Communicates and advocates with credibility and influence to advance Inuit women’s priorities. Leads with integrity, compassion, and cultural humility
  • Leads with integrity, compassion, and cultural humility and inspires high-performing, inclusive teams.

LOCATION: Ottawa, ON. Hybrid Options may be available

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, Permanent

TRAVEL: Regular travel, within Canada and across Inuit Nunangat

REPORTS TO: Board of Directors
