The Active Adult Centre of Mississauga (AACM) is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing the well‑being of adults aged 50 and older. Founded in 1992, AACM provides a welcoming environment for over 900 senior members, offering diverse programs that promote physical and mental health, social connection, and cultural enrichment. The Centre runs 80 weekly social, recreational, wellness, and multicultural activities to ensure participants remain active and engaged in their community. Guided by the vision of fostering a vibrant community of healthy and involved older adults, AACM plays a vital role in enriching lives and fostering a sense of belonging.
Reporting directly to the President, the Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the overall day‑to‑day operations of the Active Adult Centre. The Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and strategic operational management of the Centre and execution of its mandate, working within the mission, vision and established values of the Centre and in accordance with the By‑laws, Strategic Plan and Policies and Procedures. The Executive Director oversees and manages all Centre resources to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services that respond to the needs of our members in an environment that attracts and retains excellent employees and volunteers.
$60,000 to $80,000
35 hours of work per week (1.0 FTE) with flexibility to reflect the nature of the Centre’s activities.
