Job summary

Whitehills Childcare Association, in partnership with Ahria Consulting, seeks an Executive Director to lead a multi-site nonprofit serving children, families and communities in north London and Middlesex County for 50+ years. You will provide strategic governance, build partnerships with funders and community groups, oversee operations and finances, and champion workforce development and modernization.

Qualifications

• 7 – 10 years progressive senior leadership experience in childcare, early years, education, community and family services, or another mission-driven organization.
• Experience leading complex, multi-site organizations.
• Knowledge of the childcare, early years, nonprofit or human services sector.
• Experience working closely with a Board of Directors and supporting effective governance.

Ahria Consulting is proud to partner with Whitehills Childcare Association in the search for their next Executive Director.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic, relationship-focused leader to guide a highly respected nonprofit organization that has been serving children, families, and communities across north London and Middlesex County for more than 50 years. Whitehills Childcare Association is entering an exciting new chapter as it prepares for the retirement of its long-serving Executive Director and looks toward the future of early learning, childcare, family services, and community impact.

As Executive Director, you will serve as the chief executive leader of a multi-site organization with a strong operational foundation, an experienced leadership team, and an outstanding reputation among families, community partners, school boards, funders, and sector stakeholders. Your mandate is to build upon the organization’s strengths while providing strategic leadership in governance, community engagement, advocacy, organizational sustainability, workforce development, and modernization.

• Experience working closely with a Board of Directors and supporting effective governance
• Proven success leading strategic planning, organizational growth, and change initiatives
• Strong partnership-building, stakeholder engagement, and community leadership skills
• Financial oversight and organizational sustainability experience
