Aramark Canada seeks an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations for Brock University campus food service and catering. You will oversee production, menu development, and standardization while guiding a team to deliver high-quality experiences for students and guests.

You will manage budgets, ensure food safety, and collaborate with administration to elevate the student dining experience. This role offers growth, comprehensive benefits, and a dynamic, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years culinary management experience is required.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, customers, staff and management.
• Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.

Responsibilities

• Culinary production of our proprietary healthy, hot, and cold stations.
• Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistence.
• Manage Sous Chef sand brigade of cooks ensuring operational procedures are followed.
• Oversee weekly menu planning from new or formulated recipes in our PRIMA database.
• Prepare and execute campus caterings for faculty, students and guests as required.
• Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, plan and price menus.
• Estimate food consumption and remain within budget for food and labour costs.
• Conduct inventory, place orders, receive deliveries; reconcile orders as required.
• Train, manage and direct kitchen staff; coordinate all culinary related activities.
• Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance; ensure proper safety and sanitation.

• Culinary degree of diploma and hospitality training is required
• Minimum 3-5 years culinary management experience is required
• Previous experience managing unionized staff is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
