Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Restaurant. Bar. Catering firm. Ranks of chefs: Executive chef. Tasks: Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers. Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets. Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods. Requisition food and kitchen supplies. Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions. Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Leading/instructing individuals. Supervision: 11-15 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Cook Trade Certification. Safe Food Handling certificate. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?. Experience: 5 years or more. Financial benefits: Gratuities. Other benefits: Free parking available.
