Job description

Snaplii is a profitable Toronto fintech with 400,000+ users and 500+ brand partners, including Walmart, Costco, DoorDash and Uber. We run one of Canada's most-used payment and rewards wallets, and we are building the payment layer that AI agents use to buy things.

The role

You work directly with our founder and CEO, Spencer Xu, in our Etobicoke office. You keep his week running, sit in on his meetings with investors, partners and founders, turn those conversations into clear notes and next steps, and write the materials that go out in his name, in English and in Mandarin. His schedule changes often, and you are the person who keeps it straight.

What you'll do
  • Manage the CEO's calendar and meetings: scheduling across time zones, rebooking when plans change, preparing agendas and briefing notes, and following up on every next step.
  • Write and edit in both English and Mandarin: emails, meeting summaries, partner updates, presentations and short announcements.
  • Coordinate with partners, investors and our own team so that meetings, events and deadlines happen on time.
  • Pull together the background for decisions: company and market research, simple analysis in spreadsheets, and the numbers the CEO asks for.
  • Take ownership of the projects the CEO hands you and grow into running them yourself.
What we look for
  • Strong English and Mandarin, spoken and written. You will write and speak in both every day, and we check both in the first screening call.
  • Entry-level seat: typically 0 to 2 years of work experience, any major. Backgrounds in media, communications, marketing, events or content are a good fit. What you have actually done counts more than your degree: an internship where you ran a calendar or wrote for a public audience, a part-time job, a club or event you organized.
  • Careful with details: you notice the wrong date in a calendar invite and the typo in a press release.
  • Calm and organized when several things land at once, and comfortable talking with senior executives.
  • Curiosity about payments and AI. Before the final interview, we ask candidates to try our product with an AI agent, and we cover the cost (up to CAD $50).
  • Able to work on-site at 191 The West Mall, Etobicoke, Monday to Friday.
Compensation and support
  • CAD $40,000 to $50,000 base salary to start. Total compensation (base plus bonus) typically reaches CAD $80,000 after the first year, depending on performance.
  • Immigration support: Snaplii provides LMIA and PNP employer sponsorship for team members who qualify.
Notices
  • This posting is for an existing vacancy.
  • We use AI tools to help screen, assess and organize applications. Final hiring decisions are made by people.
  • Applicants who are interviewed will hear from us about the outcome within 45 days of their final interview.
