Job summary

Great-West Lifeco (Canada Life) is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support two members of the Executive Leadership Team. The role focuses on proactive prioritization, complex scheduling, and executive-level coordination in a fast-paced environment.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders with a professional experience.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, workshops, events, and materials including presentations and briefing documents.
  • Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives while tracking actions and deliverables.
  • Exercise sound judgment handling confidential information and shifting priorities.

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and strategic Executive Assistant to support two members of Great West's Executive Leadership Team. As a trusted partner, you will manage priorities, coordinate complex deliverables, and ensure the efficient operation of the executive office.

This role is ideal for an experienced executive support professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working independently, exercises strong judgment, discretion, and brings a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to supporting senior leadership.

What You Will Do
  • Manage a complex and dynamic executive calendar, competing priorities, complex travel arrangements, expenses, and correspondence.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a seamless and highly professional experience.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, workshops, events, and executive materials, including presentations, reports, and briefing documents.
  • Support special projects, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional activities while tracking key actions and deliverables.
  • Exercise sound judgment in managing confidential information and adapting to changing priorities.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of experience supporting senior executives, at the EVP, C-suite, or Board-facing level.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Works effectively and collaboratively with other EAs to support business priorities and ensure seamless coordination across teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, discretion, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Experience supporting strategic initiatives, transformation programs, or enterprise projects is considered an asset

The base salary for this position is between $59,800 - $99,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
