Alberta Innovates is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide executive administrative support for our Finance, People & Culture, and Corporate Services teams. This role supports Vice Presidents, Associate Vice Presidents, and Executive Directors, enabling achievement of corporate and operational goals.

This is a full-time position based in Edmonton Development & Research Park.

Position Details : The incumbent will :

  • Manage the executive’s schedule and coordinate activities and meetings with stakeholders
  • Support major projects and initiatives with internal and external partners
  • Answer questions and provide information to support team performance and stakeholder relations
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Prepare presentations, reports, briefs, and correspondence
  • Organize meetings, including booking rooms, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and coordinating logistics
  • Arrange domestic and international travel
  • Ensure records are filed according to policies
  • Support financial processes such as budgeting and expense management
  • Handle communications with discretion and professionalism
  • Assist staff with deadlines and correspondence
  • Mentor other administrative staff and collaborate on projects

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Diploma from a recognized Business or Technical School
  • Experience in a senior administrative role
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to foster productive relationships and networks
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with good judgment
  • High confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Dynamic 365
  • Driver’s license and ability to travel
  • Proficiency in English
