Job summary

Suncor Energy Inc. is seeking a Senior Turnaround Planner to develop detailed, execution-ready work packages and plans that drive safe, reliable maintenance execution.

You will work with Operations, Reliability, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure scopes are fully defined, resources aligned, and materials available long before execution begins. Based at our Mildred Lake Syncrude location in Fort McMurray, AB, you will optimize turnaround planning, assess risks, and collaborate across teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of planning and scheduling experience.
• Experience supporting maintenance, reliability and turnaround execution.
• Strong knowledge of planning norms, scheduling principles, and execution readiness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in planning activities and work package quality.
• Review and prioritize turnaround worklist scope and develop optimized job plans.
• Identify and sequence resources, materials, equipment, and services for turnaround work.
• Coordinate supply of parts, materials, tools, and external services with procurement documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Reliability, Maintenance Engineering, Supply Chain, Scheduling, QA and contractors to support planning and readiness.
• Ensure compliance with OEMS practices and regional Turnaround Planning guides.
