Job summary

Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc. is expanding its Edmonton region team to build and maintain civil infrastructure, parks, and roadways. We are seeking skilled Excavator Operators who value safety and quality on meaningful projects in the Edmonton area.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years operating excavators, strong teamwork, and the ability to read grades and site plans. A valid driver’s license, CSTS and Ground Disturbance certification are required, with pre-employment drug/alcohol screening

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience operating Excavator.
  • Experience operating multiple types of machinery is asset.
  • Ability to interpret survey stakes accurately.
  • Physically able to meet job demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
  • CSTS and Ground Disturbance certification are a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate Excavator as it applies to loading trucks, cut to fill, trenching, ditching, sloping, etc.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and complete pre-trip and post-trip documentation.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and identify mechanical concerns.
  • Read grades, stakes, plans, and site instructions.
  • Work closely with Foremen, Gradepersons, Labourers, and Project Teams.
  • Maintain production while ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional team environment.

What You'll Do
