Job summary

Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry in Chilliwack, BC is hiring a Jr Shipper for our Forge Pl distribution warehouse. This role supports food safety and product quality while assisting in packing, labeling and shipping. You will work in a team-focused environment with opportunities for training and advancement; forklift license preferred but not required. Must be able to lift up to 25 kg.

Qualifications

• Food processing experience is a plus.
• WHMIS and food-safety knowledge are assets.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Rotate all jobs on the evisceration line.
• Cut raw poultry to CFIA standards.
• Remove inedible parts.
• Trim and salvage poultry.
• Handle raw poultry for packaging.
• Maintain all company policies and SOPs.
• Adhere to HACCP and WorkSafeBC requirements.
• Help in other departments as required.

What you’ll do

• Rotation of all jobs on the evisceration line
• Cutting of raw poultry to CFIA standards
• Removing of inedible parts
• Trimming and salvaging of poultry
• Handling of raw poultry in preparation for packaging
• Maintain and adhere to all company policies and SOP's
• Adhere to all HACCP and WorkSafeBC requirements
• Help in other departments as required

Who we’re looking for

• Able to lift and move product (up to approximately 25 kg / 55 lbs).
• Forklift license preferred but not required; training provided for committed hires.

Relevant Experience: Any sort of food processing experience, forklift ticket, air ticket, WHMIS, food safe and first aid are all assets to this position but not required.
